In this post, I will talk about these differences and how to setup DSC for Linux in Azure Linux VMs. It will be clear if you follow the comments on that post that the steps needed some updates and there is different set of commands you need to run for the other Linux distributions such as Ubuntu and Debian. These steps assume that you have a Linux VM that is either Fedora/RHEL/Cent OS. There is a very useful step-by-step guide by Kristopher Bash on the Microsoft Building Clouds blog on how to set up DSC for Linux. This is an exciting announcement and I wanted to explore more on this. I am sure you are aware of the Microsoft’s announcement of the CTP release of DSC for Linux.
